What We Recycle

Halloween Collection

This year for Kids Vote our students are going to vote on which endangered species will the East Amwell School adopt. Through the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of NJ our school can help protect and preserve our state's endangered and threatened wildlife. Students once again will be given the opportunity to vote at the East Amwell Township Municipal building. The same night that their parents will vote on the school budget. The students vote will help determine which species our school will adopt.

East Amwell Township School Presents:

Cougar Carbon Footprint, a.k.a. The “Green Team”

Exciting news!!!!   EATS is about to “go green,” thanks to the efforts of the Cougar Carbon Footprint!  Our objective is to help our students expand their  knowledge and understanding of “going green.” We will begin this endeavor by explaining the importance and impact recycling has on our environment.

The team has been established by the following departments:  Physical Education, Art, Music, Library, Technology and SPARK with assistance from the Language Arts, History, Math, Science, and International.  It is through this school-wide, collaborative effort that we will be developing a “Green Day Celebration” on Earth Day – April 22, 2009.  The celebration will include stations that are both interactive and informative, making the learning experience fun and exciting for our students!

How can you help?  Discuss the importance of recycling with your children and let them read this message.  The Cougar Carbon Footprint will be collecting recyclables and here is how you can help!  Collect the following recyclables and drop them off in the designated containers located outside of the Physical Education Offices:  used sneakers, bottle caps, corks, soda tabs, soup can lids, plastic bottle tops, straws, 6-pack rings, soda cans, plastic bottles, and bubble wrap.  Our collection efforts will continue until further notice.  Go “GREEN TEAM!”
